I'm an old timer, but don't recognize the name. :-)

Canadian DJ who does electronic music. I thought this meme was really funny when I made it, but I guess it didn't really grab people. :-)

I'm on a slow streak also. Your meme did better than the one I released yesterday (UV's) so don't feel too bad. I had plenty of views, but nobody clicked the arrow.

Sometimes the ones we least expect get the most attention. If we knew which ones would hit in advance, we could save a lot of time.

It doesn't bother me. It just surprised me a little bit. But you're right about imgflip going contrary to expectations a lot of the time.

Anyway, 5 upvotes is pretty good! In Latest, I see memes funnier than this that get fewer upvotes (sadly).

Yes, I agree. Many interesting memes get even less. They don't have to be funny to be interesting, although it's a nice bonus.

You probably know better than I do what can affect the UV's on a meme. Date and time of week, holidays, website delays, random sh!t, getting downvoted into 'Submitted' status, newbies without enough followers to support them - all sorts of things.

But tomorrow is always another opportunity to catch the wind in our sails. I don't think it would be as interesting if every meme we did hit the first page. We need the contrast to make it seem challenging. Besides, you and I have enough views and points where it doesn't even matter if we get seen again. Ever. Most people will never get to your level - including me. I don't have the free time I used to have when I started.

But I enjoy making memes and commenting when I can. And the people who make it fun, like you.
