...are you implying that it is then a "slippery slope" to virtual elimination. I contend that most reasonable people know that it is a virtual impossibility to take away all guns. Most who advocate reasonable limits also do not feel they apply to those who lawfully own guns. Most advocates believe in lawfully registering guns and that those who have them will earn that right. Then the lawful owners are able to protect against bad actors with guns, and assist law enforcement. That's just my opinion, though.

That's what they want you all to think, "I don't want to take away all guns just some common sense laws to limit them". So have you ever heard of Senator Diane Feinstein? She said that she wanted "ALL" guns banned. (Emphasis mine) And if you don't believe that here is a link to the news story. They'll just keep chipping away at it until they can finally get what they want, no guns in the hands of the people, just government only. BTW research how many people were killed by their governments during the 20th century.
