After hearing a father say, "I sometimes have to smack my children a bit, but never in the face so as to not humiliate them."; Pope Francis said, "How beautiful. He knows the sense of dignity!"; Areas that have reduced abusive child rearing, despite religious opposition, now have much less violence; and research shows that it is also a major contributing cause of the priest abuse scandal as well!
