Hope it was a clean bus!

It was their public transit. The food at the prison was like school lunch food, the holding cell was like a swimming pool locker area, and the waiting area was like the DMV. It was all really clean, though. Smelled like a hospital.

Well, if you must know, I was part of a *ahem* "nonviolent protest" where we wanted an audience with the Governor, and when they said we couldn't, about 11 of us chose to stay, and we sang protest songs to be annoying. They locked us out of the Capitol and we stayed by the doors anyway, then they arrested us after we did not leave. I will not elaborate because it was of a "political" nature, and I really don't want to get political here, but I took my punishment like an adult, and we got the attention of some of our state legislators. Kansas government is kind of messed up. And no, I was not drunk. "Unknown nature" means they arrested us but didn't know exactly why except they were annoyed at us.

I'll take it but there were hundreds this summer who did similar actions in their states pushing for justice for those who have less of a voice, part of the Poor People's Campaign initiated by MLK Jr. 50 years ago. We were part of the Kansas PPC. You have to do things to get media attention, and a lot of it was positive. We had the whiners and some who complain, but I took my punishment, and so did many others in Kansas and 40 some other states.

True story, it went past the bottom floor and we were stuck in there for hours!

I have never left the Midwest, but I don't think I really want to.
