YES! If I had my life to live over again, I would not choose rational thought as the means to avoid depression... I would choose irrational faith in an unproven god. I need my opiate of the masses to make it through this miserable existence that god calls life!

You're saying, before this imaginary god will reveal himself to me, I must believe in him first... stop and think about that for a moment. IF god exists, he gave rational minds, and if by using that rational mind, we reasonably determine that we can't know if god exists without proof, then he won't reveal himself to us. That's just pure stupidity.

So this loving god shouldn't have any problem with me, once I die, and I go to heaven and meet him, right? After all, I used the mind that HE gave me to determine that all I need is a little proof, because belief without certain proof doesn't work for me.

Nope--you are misunderstanding me. First, God is not imaginary. How do I know? Because He answered my questions (Is Christianity the true religion? Did Jesus really die on the cross for me?) Then when some time passed and I started doubting Him and myself (along the lines of, "God couldn't POSSIBLY have answered me. Why would He talk to me? I'm a nobody. I must have been misinterpreting"etc etc--He came back a second time when I was praying for healing, healed me of my incipient blindness and told me I was healed, AND told me I was one of His chosen people (anybody can be one of His chosen people, just by believing in Him).

The most difficult part of the concept of belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior has always been, for me, the idea that you HAVE to believe in Him to have eternal life in Heaven. Why? Why can't you be a good person and not believe in a particular religion, but believe you need to live a good life?? Well, that question got answered, too, thanks to be years of ongoing massive harassment by UF Health Shands Hospital (Gainesville Florida) for being a whistle-blower (after working there 25+ years as an RN). Look around you at the horrific things happening in this world. All those people who are pretending to be good people? they worship the devil. I'm serious. The churches have totally been taken over by secret societies that worship demons such as baphomet and lucifer. There ARE NO GOOD PEOPLE except for the ones who worship Jesus. (And I'm not talking about the fake Christians in the so-called "churches" or the fake Christian preachers spreading the so-called "prosperity gospel" nor the so-called Christian evangelists who request 55 million dollars for a jet to fly around the world, preaching the gospel. No, I'm talking about the REAL Christians who give to the poor, the homeless, etc.

So it makes sense to me now, that that I've seen the churches are all just a bunch of "wolves in sheep's clothing" in the "synagogues of satan."

There are several passages in the Bible that say things like, "Seek and you shall find. Knock, and the door will be opened." All I did was ask God, during prayer and meditation, a few questions. That was me knocking on His door. He answered! Twice! Yes, He gave us this rational mind, He knows how hard it is to believe. So just ask. Keep asking, if you don't hear back right away. Your mind will absolutely be blown. His love is amazing.

Actually, those of us who believe will go straight to Heaven when Jesus returns. Everybody else will get a second chance to believe, while Jesus reigns over the earth for 1000 years. Once you believe in Him, the truth is revealed.My guess is that most people can't handle the truth, so if you learn the truth without having a belief in Jesus as our Savior, you end up living in terror of the truth.

well, i will agree with you on the notion that our bodies themselves are mortal, but i refuse his help and offer of immortality, i will achive unending life on my own terms, i will live to the heat death of the universe of my own accord, i am an independant man who needs no god to get anything in life or unlife, and thats just the way ill be!
