Old vs new, next question.

Ok. How exactly is America a capitalist nation when it’s a fact local, state, and federal government control when, where, how, and even who you can hire or fire on a case by case bases.

You went wrong with thinking that I support big government (really communism officials backed by corporations) I am a limited government kinda guy. I would love to see unlimited capitalism because that is the only system proven to better cultures and build people up vs tear others down but it may be to late for that. I have yet to see anyone in either party that I buy a used car from.

I implied nothing, I asked a question regarding the mirage of capitalism. I adore true capitalism but thats not America is. It's Crony Government controlled capitalism. Where you can become successful obey the rules set forth. And those rules were created by BIG BIGNESS. the small businessman has a tough go at even getting a foot in the door. I also get a laugh at people who think America isn't a socialist nation.

We seem to agree more than disagree. I wouldn't call our current government true socialism but I do think that is the goal of our two main parties.

I see it as full blown socialism. Taxes are extorted by threat of force and imprisonment. Then redistributed for every government service and program..You can't disapprove of one government service/benifit while condemning another. The right doesn't actually hate socialism. They just want to dictate how the social taxes are spent..Just like the left

Except there is only minor control of private business and private ownership of individual items. You seem to think we are already there and I think we are dangerously close, not much difference.
