That little Jedi is fast. I remember seeing him battle Palpatine in the prequels - he was like a tornado. One of the best light-saber battles in my opinion. Did you see it? I think it was Episode 3. :-)

IF REMEMBER MY BATTLE WITH DOOKU YOU COULD GREAT THAT WOULD BE! | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
There was an impressive battle with Count Dooku at the end of Episode II, but that battle with Palpatine in Episode III was classic!

I do remember the scene. Dooku used the Force to throw a large piece of plumbing on Obi Wan to distract Yoda.

But "Dooku". It's hard to take a villain seriously with a name that sounds like doo doo. I thought the acting was fine, but the unfortunate name ruined it for me. I was glad when Anakin chopped him up.

George Lucas let his daughter name Dooku and it shows. She was in at least one of the prequels, probably more. Just minor stuff like walking by the camera and standing in the background.

She's all grown up now and had a nice rack. So I can finally forgive her. :-p

The Inspector's assistant was named Deux Deux (Doo Doo) :)

Nice! And CP-30 in the background really sets it off. Once again I emitted audible laughter. Thank you! :-D

At Wimbledon? I've never seen a more wretched hive of scum and villainy!

That reminds me. I've never heard anyone else use the word 'villainy'. I wonder if it's big over in Europe or somewhere else far, far away. :-)

LOL..." Villainy", now there's a word I've not heard in a long time (btw, Autocorrect actually populated that word) :)

Auto-correct failed on "villainy" for me.

I had to Google it to make sure. :-)

Stupid Autocorrect always turns "I've" into "I'very" :)

At least you don't have to poach elephants to get it.

Great meme, btw. I laughed out loud! :-D

And Keenan Wynn...the deadpan delivery of this line fit the movie so perfectly...definitely a classic :)
1 up, 6y
Yes! I forgot about that scene. You just bumped this one higher on my list.

According to Wikipedia, his full name is:
Francis Xavier Aloysius James Jeremiah Keenan Wynn

And THAT is a mouthful. It's like his parents couldn't decide on a name so they chose them all.

You're right though: his delivery was perfect. :-)

Cato Fong was Clouseau's manservant/ assistant throughout much of the series. In "A Shot In The Dark" Clouseau had an assistant named Hercule Lejoy, but he disappeared until after Peter Sellars died and then he appeared in one of the retrospectives. I'm guessing Cato got his name from Bruce Lee's character in "The Green Hornet" and his skirmishes with The Inspector, or Chief Inspector, we're classic. In "The Pink Panther" cartoons they had shorts that featured The Inspector and in those shorts his assistant was a character named Deux Deux :)

Great info - thank you. I think I've seen all the movies with Peter Sellers, including the one where he died in the middle. I've never seen the 'other' movies. I did see a lot of Pink Panther cartoons, but too many decades have passed to remember Sargent Deux Deux. A quick Google image search did indeed refresh my memory though. :-)

Here's my favorite skit from the movies...
Does your dog bite?
No.
*the dog bites*
Ouch! I thought you said your dog doesn't bite.
That's not my dog.

Classic sh!t right there. He also did a bunch of 'spoken word' interpretations of famous songs, like Shatner. I'm not a big fan of the style, but there's plenty out there if you're a Sellers fan. I'd say start with the Beatles stuff, or skip it all together. :-p

The Pink Panther movies were a family favorite and I have no idea how many times I watched "The Return" and "Strikes Again" with my cousin. The alias in the template is Monsieur Guy Gadbois and that was my nickname for decades (we pronounced it Ghee Gadwah and there are still people that call me Guy). One of my favorite lines was "Do you know what kind of bomb it was?" "The exploding kind!" although there were so many lines that would bring tears to my eyes (even though I had heard them dozens of times before...Peter Sellars' delivery was fantastic and his supporting cast was awesome (especially Chief Inspector Dreyfuss)

I agree, Dreyfuss was the perfect match for the Inspector. He was my second favorite in the series.

Peter Sellers also gave three great deliveries in Doctor Strangelove.

George C. Scott didn't like his role at the time, but later said it was his favorite of his entire career. When he tripped in the Big Board room it was real. They decided to keep it in the movie and it fit right in. There's a movie I've seen a few times! :-)

I agree with George C. Scott, he was absolutely perfect for that role. His biggest problem was that he had to share the spotlight with (to a lesser extent) Slim Pickens and Peter Sellers. The first time I saw it I could see that The RAF officer and Dr. Strangelove were Peter Sellers, but when I found out The President was also Peter Sellers it blew me away. Now there's a movie I need to watch again :)

Two of my favorite lines are:

"But he'll see the Big Board!" and "There'll be a mine-shaft gap."

I thought Sellers' RAF officer was great too, probably my favorite of the three roles he played. Remember when the crazy general asked if he gave the enemy any information while being tortured? He said, "Information? They didn't ask for any information." This one cracks me up every time.

Slim was great too. And it had a pre-Vader James Earl Jones.

The entire movie rocks. Another Kubrick classic. :-)
