It seems similar, but it's not the same.

If you don't like a meme that someone makes, you can scroll past that meme, and it's not likely to bother you again. But if someone puts an annoying comment on your meme, you can't just scroll away. The comment stays. (For better or for worse, imgflip doesn't let us delete comments on our own memes.)

As a general rule, I try to put only the kinds of comments on memes that the user would want to see there (there are some exceptions). But I usually don't try to put comments on memes that the user would find obnoxious.

I can see your point.. If its not personal, I don't see it as a big deal. Different points of view make the world spin. Of course if f someone wants me to remove something,
