It actually came together relatively quickly...I wanted to submit The Emerald City version, but thought that wouldn't draw enough attention to the Pink Floyd/Wizard Of Oz/Elton John connection...maybe the fact that it appears that Sir Elton is either entering or exiting the screamer's mouth was too graphic for it to be featured. Anyway I will try submitting The Emerald City version and let you know...thanks a lot! :)

Lol. My guess is that it was trolls of ITA. they hate gays cos a defector was LGBT. Saturdays seem to be a good time to sneak one past, weekend and maybe fewer employees working.

Wow mate, since my turtle/straw meme featured I have been innundated with ITA. Some outright hostility towards me of course, and some dialogue which is nearly based in reality.
There are some long time users here who I'm pretty sure are IRA. And lots of users who a lot of us are friends with, I think. I don't want to name names at this point. I know you like to avoid political drama. I do too. But after they began killing my memes I decided "f**k it" I'm just gonna call a spade a spade. Now I'm having fun with it again so my main objective for being here is intact. Losing touch with some friends, gaining new ones. The circle of life continues!

LMAO! It was suggested that there may be a rule that images must have generated text to feature. I originally put "btbeeston" and " 2018" on two of the bottom bricks, but figured that was too egotistical so changed it to it to "my future" as in I finally decided my future lies beyond the yellow brick wall...I really like it more without the text, but didn't want today risk not featuring twice

Fascinating. Idk if that's true. But I will say that I often attach a png and then slide it off the screen. Instead of jumping thru the "tiny text" hoop.
Like here, I've slid the flag almost off the screen.
Now if there is a rule as you mentioned, it would depend how automated it is. I think there is an actual person that has to finally clear a meme.

Logical. It seems that I've snuck a few through without text ( for instance A Knight Who Says Ni At The Opera), but I didn't want to take a chance. I usually just type one letter and set the text size to 0

When I first started here and saw all the anti- SJW memes, I was surprised by such vitriol towards them. I realize that feminists and sjws vegans can be highly emotional and in your face. But of course, so can trumpites, christians and, oh idk.. white supremacists. Then I learned of bot farms and it began to make sense why the concentrated hate. Part of the fascist narrative is to attack the marginalized first. Divide and conquer. With a legion of bots on this and most major sites, it's easy to think that suddenly being a warrior for social justice is UNCOOL, as seen by your peers anyway.

Can you believe it? The shows are actually within reach! We'version been up to our armpits in baby showers (another one on Sunday at our house), but after that we've just got a thirtieth birthday then Alice!..."rollin' and ridin' and slippin' and slidin' it's magic! :)

I submitted it for Bad Photoshop Sunday meets Bad Album Art Week 2, but it didn't feature, not really sure why...I actually liked this one a lot in that it links Pink Floyd, The Wizard Of Oz and Elton John, but apparently the powers that be found it not worthy. The template is yours for the taking (there is nothing added by the imgflip meme generator) and may come in handy some day as a reply...please feel free to add it to your library :)

I grabbed it for future mangling and added it to my pile of your generous gifts. One day I hope to do it justice.

But first, I recommend you re-submit after adding some visible text with the generator. I remember reading there is a recent rule where memes must have text or they won't get featured. I also experienced this twice and both were featured after adding text.

I'm glad we figured out the issue. It took me about a month after I read the text requirement before I realized why two of my memes didn't feature. I added text and they both featured without delay.

I've also read you can use text with zero size on comment replies, but never tried it - or on a regular meme.

I was thinking of submitting this for Bad Album Art Week, but wasn't sure if it's too crude...thanks for the advice, still working on some text :)

I remember this one and I get a kick out of it (like everything else you do). It's only a meme, so no harm, no foul.
