Every year we celebrate coming to this country; 6 days ago we celebrated 27 years. At our family celebration, we end every toast with God Bless America. It is no different to us than saying Amen at the end of a prayer. Whenever we see news about the shithole we came from, we again stay God Bless America. In this context, these are words of gratitude, like saying "thank you very much" to someone. When we see good things happen to good people in this country, we say God Bless America. In this context, it is an exclamation of pride, like seeing my own Father being honored for something and proudly exclaiming "that's my Dad over there".
There's 3 examples of context … none of them are slogans, none of them meaningless.
