Circuit City's 'Red Cube' was in place for 3? years after it closed, before the new store re-did the facade
at least one of the Blockbuster's 'Price Tag' and Blue 'awning' were up for 5? years after they shut down in our area
so 'The Old Store' was still a valid landmark...
although at least in the cases I cited there is another Functioning Business close by, or as noted, using the space, and since re-branded so saying
"Where Circuit City Used to be" accomplishes nothing unless the person remembers Circuit City... better to cite the 'Chuck E Cheese' that now occupies some of the space
