I haven't listened to it in ages myself,,,

I gave it a twirl on YouTube, and up came "Alice Cooper's Blackout Albums" playlist which I'm still listening to now. From the Inside LP is playing now. I remember Special Forces more than Zipper... and Flush the Fashion even more. DaDa is an album I was totally unaware of till now. Came out in 83 and I was totally into HC Punk then. Other than Kate Bush, I lost track of most of the other stuff back then, because everybody started to suck with their Disco or New Wave song or sellout pop pablum.
ALICE COOPER 80! That was him remaking himself New Wave-ish sorta. By Special Forces he weighed like 72lbs it looks.
I've been telling some women for years, "You look good in rags, with dirt in your hair." Of course I have to explain right quick what that comes from lest I hurt their feelz.

The "Blackout" thing appears to come from him saying he didn't remember 80 - 83 due to all the coke he done, some comment said.

Alice is one of them folks that isn't fully appreciated for their genius till after it's too late.

I always leaned towards the earlier stuff, but most of this stuff is gem.

Hearing Alice & Bowie on the radio while on a trip to PR in 76 lead me to the world beyond the Top 40.

Flush the Fashion was good stuff. It's funny how if you mention Alice everybody thinks of Schools out and the Nightmare stuff or the snake. There is so much more. I saw him 3 summers ago at Darrien Lake in upstate NY. He was 60 something but he still put on a great show.

Or even the latter day MTV stuff,,,

- The only time I saw him in a taped concert. Was on MTV, Halloween '86 hosted by Elvira. Was amazing.

In '91 I was in bed sick. Got better only to find out he was gonna play at the Ritz but already sold out. My sisters didn't tell me. I was so freaked that one made arrangements through that Charlie Anthrax drummer who a friend was going out with for a decade. He was gonna get me & the friend VIP passes through connections, even meet Alice backstage! But he got on it too late, so ended up a no go.
Then I found out that friend's sister & her bf saw Alice play at a surprise free outdoor show in Times Square for some radio station round noon. Again I missed out.
Later that same day I was with my gf looking at boots at a Korean store on 8th St. Owner tells us, "The Arish Coopuh, he come rook at bootsh dhish aftahnoon" My face drops. I run outside, stretched my arms to the sky and did a Brando at the top of my lungs, "ALIIIIICE! ALIIIIICE!"
My gf runs out laughing, saying I scared the shit out of that woman.

This was all within a two week period. Cursed, never got to see him.
