I've worked with those who have severe autism back when autism was autism and not a social media fad for youth. Lucky if they could hand sign for bathroom, water, and food, let alone talk, type, or read. Or use ethnic slurs.

Well my bad then, as I go back to before when Asperger's was described, so severe was "low functioning" (a term I found a bit ouch-ish).
