Haha. He told us many times that he didn't want to take our guns. The problem was that I didn't believe him. I didn't believe anything that he said but I think he meant well. I just couldn't believe him. I think like every other president he had an agenda and people to answer to.

By the way, I never believed all of the garbage about his birth certificate either. He is an American. He was a Muslim and possibly a Black Panther earlier in his life as evidenced by the many photos that I have seen, but people change. I was once a protestant and became Catholic in my 30s.

I was a "Hellfire and Brimstone" baptist ever since I can remember. But I'm also a critical thinker and question everything. As a teenager I tended to ask a lot of questions about faith that made people uncomfortable. I can't quote scripture
But I can certainly step on some protestant toes.

So when I couldn't get real answers to my questions I looked elsewhere and realized that half of the bible had been hidden from me all my life. I wasn't even told that it exists, so of course I made it my mission to read every last word.

At the end of the day it just seemed to make more sense to me based on what I perceive to be truth. And yes, a big change for both of us. You found your truth in one direction and I found mine in another.
