First of all I won’t “explain to the world what they should do”. I don’t need to. The world is aware of it. So I will speak to the US only.

Drugs are illegal...Weapons are not addictive.
The NEED for drug is what makes its business unstoppable. You don’t NEED weapons. So you can’t make that comparison.
What you can do:
1. Realize that due to the number of weapon in circulation, the number of gun casualties is worse than in time of war.
2. Realize that you don’t get less crime than other countries where only “baddies” have guns.
3. Realize that in other countries only criminals and officials forces are armed and that they have so much less casualties and crimes.
4. Realize that other countries got rid of free access to weapon and they are fine.
5. Realize that wild wild west times are over.

What your government can do:
1. Make a referendum about moving away from guns, so that the people make a clear choice.
2. Change the constitution.
3. Shut down NRA as it won’t be necessary any more.
4. Stop the production of weapon for civilians.
5. Sell the stocks of weapon to the army or recycle then.
6. Offer to buy from the civilians any of their guns (legal or not), for destruction.
7. Allow only reasonable hunting rifles to be sold. And with a permit.
8. Let the police and army deal with criminals .
9. Don’t expect immediate results, this will be a long process

Guns makes a man feel super strong, it is easy to use. You don't need to touch or get very close to your victim. You just aim and shoot.

No guns does not mean no crime. Its means much less crimes, much less accidents, much less dramas and close to zero mass shooting.

Concerning the "protection" that those guns provide to the US:
- Iraq War (2003-2010) 4,491 US soldiers deaths. Around 640 deaths a year
- Vietnam War (1955-1975) 58,318 US soldiers deaths. Around 3070 deaths a year
- World War 2 (1941-1945) 407,316 US soldiers deaths. Around 101,829 deaths a year
- US in 2016, 11,004 only gun homicides
- US in 2014, 8,124 only gun homicides
- US in 2010, 8,775 only gun homicides
- US in 2001, 8,890 only gun homicides
- France in 2016, 862 not only guns homicides (equivalent of 4318 for the US population)

So in 2016 you got the gun casualties the equivalent to
- 17 Irak war years
- 3.6 Vietnam war years
- 10% WW2 years
- 2.5 french homicides year

Guns are not making you safer, your kids are scared to go to school, your teenagers ask for a change.

Give them a chance, you , your government and all the us citizen

We don't have armed guard in schools in Europe, and the kids are safe because there parents don't have guns accessible at there house.

Yes there is other ways to do a mass murder. But it is so complicated compared to using assault riffles that it simply does not happen.
