Cowboy Lebowski

Maybe not real cowboys, but people dressed in cowboy boots and cowboy hats that think they're cowboys. At least where I live, that is.

haven't seen a bowling ally in Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, etc

I live in a cowboy state and there's one less than a mile away from me. They're there. And yes, people really do wear the hats normally.

Well the joke used to be it was doctors and lawyers that wore hats and boots, and the ranch guys wear nikes and ballcaps, but that's not entirely true, there's still a lot of the original wear in use.
