Was going through Latest :) I've seen a few "is this a pigeon" memes on imgflip, my first attempt at one. TRHtimmy had a one a few weeks ago with a "what kind of bird is this" tag that did very well.

Ah that makes sense. The context behind the meme itself is pretty funny too.

Damn. I wish Sonic games could actually be good again. It seems as if the writers and designers aren't even trying. Sonic Mania was good, though. But it wasn't made by Sega.

Exactly, they hand to outsource Sonic to let him be in a good game again. I still need to get Mania, I just want to get it when it's on sale on Steam.

It seems that Sonic Team isn't even trying anymore.

I know many already say this, but we need another game like the Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. Sure those game did have their flaws. But at least the people behind them were actually trying.

There are many problems I have with Sonic games now. But it'll take quite awhile to describe all of my issues with them.

Sonic Adventure 2 is were it's at man.

One thing which is hard to forgive Sega for is what happened with Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

Here's what happened.

Sega wanted there to be a Sonic universe which would appeal to western audiences. So, Sega decided to have Big Red Button, a company formed of former Naughty Dog employees, make a game for this universe.

Now, BRB wanted to make a really good Sonic game. And I mean REALLY good Sonic game. But due to some issues involving the game engine not working the well on the console they had to make the game for and the fact the game had to be a tie-in with a comedy show, the developers had to dumb down everything. The gameplay. The characters. The storytelling. Everything.

Sega pretty much forced Big Red Button to dig its own grave.

Yikes, that's awful. What was Sega thinking?!?

Before Sonic Forces came out, I thought the game would make up for Sega's past mistakes with the Sonic games.

Boy, I was wrong!

Sonic Forces was mediocre as hell. The writing was stale, the characters sucked, the physics were awful, and the levels end soon as they start to get interesting.

And what do I mean by the characters sucking, you may ask? Here are the two worst offenses by the characters.

1; Sonic doesn't take any situation he's in seriously at all. Even after being tortured for months, he still acts all goofy. You know what I mean?

2; Tails isn't independent at all. He literally ducks, cowers, and yells "Sonic! Help me!" when encountering Chaos 0, even though he beat Chaos 4 ALL BY HIMSELF! *sigh* I miss when Tails actually did stuff.

Sorry. I'm ranting a bit.

The current Sonic writers should be fired. This is ridiculous.

I was kind of interested in Sonic Forces and then I saw game play of it, didn't want to bother with getting the game at that point.
Also, I feel you about Tails, they made him a coward, which isn't like him at all.

R.I.P. Tails' independence.

There's this other problem I have with Sonic Forces.

Classic Sonic is apparently from another dimension instead of a different time. And that part just confuses the hell out of me.

Including Classic Sonic in the first place is just confusing. He serves such little purpose.

--Oh, wait. Without him, how else is Sega supposed to shamelessly cash in on people's nostalgia? It's not like there's other options for fan service!
