Insurance companies have interlocking board members with the biggest media companies; and that is just the beginning of their ties to the media and politicians! Insurance companies also donate an enormous amount of money collected from premiums to campaigns and spend more on advertising so both the media and the political establishment have a massive incentive to suppress discussion of Single Payer!
