I'm still trying to wake up from this joke of a dream. These are the SAME types who once called everyone they oppossed "Commie Pinkos"

Now they pin posters of shirtless Putin on their walls and use his image to mock those not following in Il Duce Trump's goose stepping clown show.

Their Lord & Savior Reagan would have shot himself over this if he was still around.

Is that what your 8th grade history teacher is telling you?

Republicans are in favor of a small central government. Democrats want to tell you how to live your life in your own home and take away your power to oppose the government. Who's the Nazi's again?

You need to do a little research on what Republicans say vs do. They say they are small government, but..... they are the biggest spenders of your tax money for government. They have the biggest intrusions of privacy from government. Republicans are ALL ABOUT very big government and rules to control you.

You're talking about Bush not Trump. F**k Bush. Trump is the best president the US has had in my lifetime. His actions as president exemplify what republican voters want in our leadership.

He's talking about them since they grabbed the gig from Dems back in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act and capped in 1965 with Voting Rights Act which allowed Coloreds to be treated as real Americans, something conservatives where SURPRISE! even MORE opposed to then than they are today.

With possibly the exception of George HW Bush Sr (who Republicans derided as what?) Republicans have routinely sought to gop out of their way to control people's lives literally - and especially - all the way into the bedroom.

Segregation?

Miscegenation?

No homosexuality, let alone, marriage?

From obstructing the right to equal rights for Blacks, Latins, Native Americans, women, etc and duking it out with all those yecky Hippies to Punks and all the other disrupters of the conservative conformist ideals, Conservatives - formally Dems and now Repubs for a half century and counting - have stood as the bearers of maintaining constipated control over every aspect of people's lives under the guise of the demands a moral majority, and demonizing freedom and liberty for those on the fringes who dare be uppity.

Republicans typically EXPAND Federal gov't reach, and have stimulated our way out of recessions by hiring Federal workers by the tens of thousands, thusly expanding gov't in intent, function, as well as numbers.

This is where you tell me CNN MSM lies told me so, so I kindly refer you to Google it, since you're obviously too young to have lived through this as your eigth grade quip shows, and are thusly going by revisionist propaganda.

Image vs reality is a thang.

Disagree. Using the government to get work done is different than using the government to force tolerance or taxes on people. It might not be right, but if people want to be bigots they should be allowed to be, same as homosexuals.

I was thinking more along the lines of things like Obamacare and carbon taxes than civil rights stuff. Civil rights is over. There are plenty of places a person can be a black transgender attack helicopter and live a happy life, but they shouldn't expect people to except them anywhere they go. Shoot, as a conservative I know I shouldn't walk into a Starbucks in Austin and start talking about how badass Trump is unless I want to start some shit. There's a point where the individual needs to be responsible for themselves.

Obamacare forced Americans to take out of their own pockets or face jail time so Obama's campaign supporters could be paid. I didn't have health insurance because I couldn't afford it and Obamacare forced me to pay a fine because I couldn't afford his bs plans. Thanks democrats.

Carbon taxes are a good idea in theory but they end up just being used to gouge companies so democrats can have more federal money to throw around because they only have money that they take or are given. This limits a company's freedom to get things done.

By definition, democrats are for a strong central government. Republicans probably wouldn't even run for office if it wasn't for the fact that they have to defend their companies rights from overtaxation by democrats. (And use of the US military)

I pretty much agree with much of what you said.

Obama care was a waste of a year and half on something that hasn't worked for any other country, and was a diluted hybrid with the flaws you pointed out glaring from the get go.

"Carbon taxes are a good idea in theory but they end up just being used to gouge companies so democrats can have more federal money to throw around because they only have money that they take or are given. This limits a company's freedom to get things done."

If only. The focus ultiamately is more on trading carbon credits. This IS big business. Yes, some companies will be screwed, but it's just another sort of mutant commodity. Carbon emissions trading is the real aim, and Al Gore just so happens to be the largest shareholder in the world's biggest exhange of it. Yes, profit from pollution. Just like derivatives, trading toxic assets, buying and selling potentially bad money.

Guaranteed in a decade or so they'll find a way to do the same with garbage and landfills.

More like in theory. In practice, as seen with GW Bush and as indirectly called for by Trump, not exactly.
Both parties continue to expand gov't because their constituencies voted them to do so. They only differ in what they concieve will be expanded, and at the cost of something they perceive as unecassary. We want more of this, cut that from them. Same thing that lead to the Civil War, which revisionists have turned into a fantasy crusade over slavery. Was just about allocation of Federal Gov't revenue - more States with slavery entering the Union skewing the balance of influence in their favor, thus screwing the North with economies based more on manufacture and trade.

I didn't know about the carbon trading stuff. Makes sense. Now I know global warming is bs for sure.

Gore was having one of his mansions modified so it can use renewable energy. During the proccess he had the building expanded, and as a result it now uses even MORE energy off the grid than before. Embarrased when the news became public, Mr Shrink-My-Footprint 'made up for it' by donating $23 million to his fave global warming charity - HIS charity that he started and owns! He made a tax deductable donation to himself! I'd almost applaud the audacity if it wasn't so crass and corrupt.

Global warming is a total farce - hence it being redubbed "climate change" when data since 2000 contradicted the theory - and distracts from real enviromental action since it allows the 'activists' to sit home and wait for gov't & big business do something instead of doing something themselves.

I didn't like Bush much, but Gore losing to him was a delight. Such a disengenous fraud. I really wish he'd go away,

Do you listen to yourself? Your statement was Republicans (and the history thereof). Again, before you try to project an 8th grade education on others, you seriously need to review your thoughts and comments; before engaging with the adults.

I said republicans are in favor of small a central government and they are. Your statement was a list of the bs Bush did. He doesn't represent every republican president, certainly not the current one.

If you search down deep into your soul, you may realize that those you oppose are the puppet masters who are pulling your strings.

Something about a continous spew of textbook styled neo nazi rhetoric and having former head of Commie USSR KGB as the guy with his hand up that dummy's ass begs to differ.

Read post above. You only fool yourself to believe ANYTHING that comes from the "Orange Ones" mouth.
