I literally JUST listened to that fir the first time about 3 minutes ago! reallyitsjohn posted a meme related to it so I had to google! What do you hear on that? I heard "lorlor". So close enough to Laurel I think. My kids heard "Yuvee"

I heard it on the news. Sounded 100% yanny to me.

I think it has to do with pitch. There was another one years ago with sounds that only young people can hear. Pretty cool.
