the "middle east" wasnt a thing until 1918 when the french and british signed the sykes-piccco treaty that creates forced colonization of the ottoman owned lands which came to be iraq, iran, afghanistan, saudi arabia, Israel, kuwait, and the emirates.

The Middle East became a hot spot thousands of years ago for religious reasons; but recently oil is as important if not more and fanatical beliefs are being used to justify conquest for the sake of control.

is that a bad thing though? taking over, establishing order, and exporting oil all sound like good things.

Not the way it's being done which involves oppressing those without control and committing mass murder; especially when oil is contributing to massive pollution and clean energy and conservation can be used as an alternative.

3.I still don't see a problem with taking over these countries. Their in shambles anyhow and want us dead. We also don't commit "mass murder" we cleanse the area of jihadists and radicals, sure collateral damage happens sometimes but its war.

Wind, solar, assuming they're done cautiously, and once again conservation might be most important.

Sun will last billions of years so will wind, but oil will run out in decades at current pace.

2.actually the correct answer was the sun. The suns resources are finite and although will lasr billions of years it will expand and explode. Oil is naturally occuring and even if we extract all of it at once it will slowly replenish over thousands of years.

3. It may be my pro-imperialist outlook thats the problem. Guess well skip this one then.
