By 'Gets 12 Months' (the bottom text on the meme), nixieknox was saying that Bad Luck Brian received a jail term (duration) of 12 months. This equals one month each for the stolen calendar - that's the funny part.

Btw, this time in jail is also referred to as a 'sentence'. It's spelled the same way as the group of words making *this* sentence. When a word has more than one meaning, as in 'sentence', the words for each meaning are called homonyms. Translated, this means they 'sound the same'.

And just for kicks. here is the opposite. When words sound differently but have the same meaning, they are call synonyms. And a book of synonyms is called a Thesaurus.
