How about waiters and waitresses? There bosses are allowed to drastically underpay them. Almost everyone else gets a minimum wage if necessary. Must be nice... to keep all the profits! ;-p

In the old system, the waiter got the tip and kicked back some of it to the rest of the staff.
Tips are for good table service; however once in a while I see places with tip jars where there is only over-the-counter service: ice-cream stores for example. How about Starbucks? The change is so small, I let them have it.
