(couldn't figure out who you think is the exception - Karl Marx?). I think this is a serious question. I am a natural scientist, but also very interested in language. And I believe language influences your thinking enourmously. I sometimes feel like two different persons depending on whether I speak German or English.

Well, you can call it "Possessed" if you wish to. I strongly believe that scientifcally it has it has to do with neuron juncitions. Different junctions and neurons get activated in different languages, and every memory (such as that of a word or of grammar ) in our brain is stored togehter with an emotion or feeling (scientific fact). So different feelings are activated in different languages (I guess you can "feel" the natural scientist here).

As to Marx - I think there actually are Greek roots in his thinking, too, but I don't think there is enough room here for discussing this in detail!
