That was a terrible car too. I was at the age where I was still new to driving. That car would cut off if you turned a corner doing less than 40 MPH which wasn't easy in that massive beast of a car.

Not a problem if you crash though. The car would probably get a scratch, while the other car would be totaled. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Wonder what mechanical issue would cause the stalling. Maybe a timing belt?

I believe it turned out to be the alternator? I know I was sitting at a gas station waiting on my brother to buy cigarettes when the thing caught on fire. Also whatever it was caused the battery to die every day. I feel like I should have gotten a t-shirt that say's "I SURVIVED THE LINCOLN!"

And don't get me started on my grandmother's Olds Mobile. Brakes were barely there, no working blinkers, and for a radio we used an old cassette tape recorder which ran on batteries and no freaking air conditioning. The power steering was also busted. Now imagine my green haired, Punk Rock/Heavy Metal teenaged self hauling butt around town with the windows down blsting my music from a fawking tape recorder.

Heavy Metal? Now I really DO wish I knew you in high school.

We had Sabbs, Priest, VH, Oz, Maiden... anything loud and chunky.
