Upvote for your meme .... but as citizens, we need to remind ourselves that they live off the avails of our labours, and that includes the fancy salaries and perks that WE give them. I am of the opinion that in the last thirty or so years, we have averted our attention away from what they do with what we pay them, and they have taken full advantage. As time went on and they got more comfortable, the corruption has grown from an unusual event to the status quo. It's not their money, it's ours -- and we are not getting the government we pay way too much for. This applies to any party that gets into power, because whichever one wins the next election will abuse the privelege of power we give them unless we wake up, stand together and say "Enough is enough."
