actually thats true, but you also dont get other nutrients that meat contains if you dont eat it. There have also been cases where vegans and vegitarians have long term health issue down the road.

You can get a multitude of vitamins and minerals from a plant based diet. Remember, unless you grow your own fruits and vegetables, then you're at the mercy of whomever you get them from. Most people don't use natural products to grow their fruits/vegetables, they use all kinds of harmful pesticides...and if they aren't removed properly...they get into your system. In addition, knowing what foods paired together to get the maximum health benefits is vital.

A lot of people say we need protein from meat, but I ask you, "Where do cows, sheep, and goats get their protein, if they don't eat meat?

"However, animals that eat almost exclusively grass, such as cows and horses, have no problem getting enough protein in their diet. Unlike humans, herbivores are capable of digesting plant cells and getting to the nutrients locked inside, like protein."

we are not herbivores, we humans are omnivores which use plants to help the nervous systems and "sense" awareness, while meat is used for protein and other nutrients. Another thing, ever heard of the apendex? it was ONCE used to break down fibers and most likely proteins from plants as we were hunter-gatherers, but after evolution and hunting of bigger meat sources we all but eliminated the appendix's traits and thus require meat.

Lol! I'm fully aware of the appendix. I've assisted with removing many of them. Where is that information located, pertaining to the appendix, so I can read it myself? Apparently, we have different views on this topic and I'm not here to convince anyone of anything. I'll leave you with this...check the teeth for both groups. If the animals could get enough protein from plants...we can get the same too. It means we have to eat them "raw," just like the animals. And while we're speaking about raw...if we're truly carnivores or omnivores, why do you need to season and cook your meat? Why not eat them raw like the animals who are also in that group? That's how they get their complete proteins/nutrients. That is all.

1. good you are paying attention, the appendix is actually used most likely for bacterial purposes (webmd) and not proteins nor fibers. Good for you to recognize this and not blindly accept.

2.humans season their food because we as sentient (higher thinking beings) have needs and wants. Other animals will act out of instinct or natural purposes while humans use logic, reason and materials at hand to make life better, we used to eat meat raw before fire was made, after this we cooked meat and meat with herbs and spices tastes better and makes said food more edible so we eat more of it.

3. animals are able to directly digest protein from plants, we are not. See link above.

Wow, I've never heard that before, that we're unable to digest the protein from plants. You and whatever article you got that from have it backwards...but then again, there are many things in this world that are backwards, yet many people think it's quite fine. One example, humans are the only species who drink another specie's milk, yet most people don't see anything wrong with that. Nevertheless, carry on!
