Skip the one point, it's customary (and polite) to upvote those you reply to, and any who comment on your memes. Unless they're attacking you.

Most are pretty cool, but there's a few of the more established mega pointers that reluctantly give out points as if they were bitcoins unless you're part of their clique or some crap.
Mind you, those are usually the whiny ones that complain when all their memes about themselves don't make it the the front page and nag about those who don't lick their boots.
