"Under God" wasn't always part of the pledge.

Now it is. And schools taught the Bible then.

Honestly, it's a discriminatory thing to add to a pledge.

It's discriminatory against non-religious Americans.

Mo of the people started their own country to preserve their religious freedom. So Christianity did play a part in the founding of America. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

That doesn't make America a Christian nation, nor does it mean America was founded on Christian values. America's government is secular.

Most of the Founding Fathers were Deists.

They were one of the groups that started America. The reason they sailed to the new world was mostly for religious freedom because the church back in England was oppressing them.

That doesn't mean Christianity played a part in the founding of America, nor does it make America a Christian nation, nor does it mean America was founded on Christian values.

But if a large part of the founding fathers were than it does.

No it doesn't, and by the way, it wasn't a "large" part.

Your original statement is disproved by the fact that many of the people who essentially started America were Christians and believed the Bible. Sorry, but your argument is pretty invalid.

Just because SOME of the people involved in America's founding were Christians doesn't mean the Bible played a part in the creation of America.

About 90% of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christian. Some notable Christian founding fathers include George Washington, John Hancock, and Samuel Adams.

That doesn't mean a thing though.

This country began in large part because of "religious Americans." If people are SO offended and SO discriminated against by the Pledge of Allegiance, they can feel free to move to China, where I'm sure that's not in the pledge. (If they have an official pledge.)
