Only the elite can have custom laws made. The laws that seem to defy common sense.

But the elite are less common than commoners, so the laws they subsidize make a lot of sense (and money) for them.

Looks like they are learning a painful lesson already. Innocent students were shot while attending class. It happens frequently, and there will be more.

Guns aren't the problem, so existing strict gun laws in some places have not made a difference.
