The reality is, most experts understand Iran doesn't actually want nuclear weapons because they're contrary to Islam, but our narrative is largely shaped by the agenda out of Israel to fool us into invading them for "wmd's. Just like Iraq, just like Afghanistan (what, no Bin Laden?), just like they keep trying to do foolishly in Syria. Only idiots fall for that and never learn.
And the REALLY smart ones didn't miss what happened to Libya - that we promised Libya if they unilaterally gave up such defense options, we would never invade them.
