Look up the books you mention.  They happen to be Books of Hebrew (that is Old Testament) not Christianity. I am sure everyone is having a good laugh at your expense.

But isn't the God of the Old Testament also the God of the New Testament? And there are some predictions in one of the prophets (don't remeber which one) which obviously relate  to times A.D. and where there is quite a lot of "punishment" mentioned, too, not to speak about the gross predictions in Apocalypse of John (I am too busy to check this again all by myself right now).  On the whole, the Jewish-Christian God seems to be one who loves to harshly punish people when he gets mad. But there seems to be another God: The one metioned in John 1,1 (only in the Greek original, not in the incompetent translations!!!!) So it always seem necesary to define of which God one is speaking when speaking about Christianity.

Actually we are commenting on what the original meme said. However; the big difference rests in what I term Old Testament (eye for an eye) mentality verses New Testament (turn the other cheek) ~ Christian philosophy......

Yeah, Christian philosophy- fine for men, less fine for women. Paul said that Chrisitan  women should accept their husbands as their masters, and probaly turn their other cheek when they are beaten by their husband, even if he is about to beat you to deahth (because, as much as I remeber, even in  this case there is no exception for the "cheek" thing. Being a woman, the new Testament is not a great source of inspiration for me One of the rare exceptions is John 1,1 in the original Greek and a few other things. The rest you can pretty much forget when you are a woman.

Your point? What does your comment have to do with the original meme citing Old Testament chapters as being Christian? Obviously you have some point to make but you "missed" the intended objective.

I grew up Chrisitis, nd of course the old Testament (e.g. the Ten Commandments) was part of the Christian believe. Now you say its Hebrew  and only the new Testament counts, and i tell you fro a woman that's not much better than the old one - now you say it's besides the point and I missed the intended objectice..The intended Objective wa quite obviously "there is a lot of bad stuff in the Christian holy book", and you said: that is not Chrsitan My f. So I should you bad stuff in the "Chrsitan" part, too. What do  y o u  actually want to say? Well, it doesn't interest me any longer, farewell.
