But everyone says "our theory is just not understood and elaborated enough", my dear. It's the most tragic error a scientist can make! When we invest ourselves in a career in science, we are signing on for a lifetime of uncertainty and skepticism. So I have to side with our friend Alberto on this one. Scientific theories can NEVER be proven, always because the system is an open one as it appears to our minds. When everything seems to fit most beautifully and completely, we can still never know that we're not missing one or more pieces of a puzzle. Once we're feeling sure that a theory is THE theory of Life, the Universe, and Everything, then we stop looking for a better one, and someone more skeptical (more scientific!) will find it. I beg you now, scientist to scientist, to embrace QM if you like, but remain open to the possibility that it's not the end of the road by far! ( :
