No I'm not a liberal. I just think background checks would be good. Let me know your thoughts :)

THERE IS ALREADY A BACKGROUND CHECK.

Very few arguments have been made against them, its the outright bans that cause the issues. As for gun legislation that's been voted against, a favorite trick of democrats has always been to attach a poison pill to gun control bills, so they could point at republicans and say what uncaring monsters they are.

But , the F.B.I. really screwed the pooch on this one . There were reports about this miscreant all the way back to 2016 , let's enforce the laws we already have .

They did, but there still could have been reasonable laws in place to prevent him from getting one at a legitimate dealer. However nothing could have stopped him from getting a gun from a private citizen if he wanted it.

Well the parents were kind of dead. He was living with a friend's family, father insisted the gun used stay in a gun safe that only he had the key to, but he got a copy of it. I'm not gun ban fan by any means, but there does need to be a shoring up of the background check process. imgflip.com/i/24zbys
