If you understood anything about firearms other than the media talking points you would know that actual "assault weapons" have been banned in the US since the '80s. High capacity rifles are not "assault weapons" but that is not what you people are after anyway. Rifles are the scapegoat, you want to ban even handguns other than six shot revolvers and probably only want the police and military to have those.
