For the logically impaired: The baby is not the women's body. They have separate DNA. Also, the women who do choose to do abortions have very high rates of depression. Another thing to keep in mind: The babies in the uterus have DREAMS 6 weeks after conception. The babies can feel pain like you and me. So how would you like to get pulled apart with metal tools, and have all your life potential taken away from you?

Well you have your opinion, I have mine. Over the years I have known women who have had them, then later in life have gone on to have happy families, just maybe not the right time or circumatances. I'm not saying I agreed with it, but it was their choices to make, legally. Life isn't black and white.
[deleted]
3 ups, 7y
lol I don't think that was an opinion. Kill a baby, save a life. It's about morality, not opinion.

Hey man, sorry to be akward, but i really appreciate the way that you convey your message in a polite manner, expressing your beliefs without prompting negative emotions or bad energy... everybody is going through their own personal struggles and have their own battles to fight... much too often, i see relationships and bonds ripped apart by disagreements over petty political/personal views, and it's good to see that not all of those disagreements have to end in all parties involved hating each other- so thanks.

Thanx! I appreciate that. Hot button topics like this are sure fire triggers for an all out war. these are personal ideals that will never change in a persons mind on a meme site. Unfortunately there are people that do resort to imature bs because they dont have the capacity to communicate like a functioning human being. I'm not here to fix that either, just sharing. I never said I was for or against, but those are decissions by people that dont include me, my beliefs be damned. People gotta get tha f**k outta other peoples business. There are more pressing issues to deal with that are happening right now that include everybody. Again thanks.
1 up, 7y
I couldn't agree with you more. Sometimes i even find me asking myself whether or not it's worth it to try to make change or do the right thing in this world, when my actions will just be covered up by all the hate and negativity that so plagues the world at every given moment... it's little actions like these, people breaking through all that evil, and finding the courage to speak out for what they believe in, regardless of the opposition or criticism they may face that gives me just enough hope to keep keeping on, and to act as the best person that i can act as... i just wish that everybody would work together to make the world the best place that they can, not just the most BENEFICIAL to them... society so often overlooks the fact that love is what made us all, not self-righteousness or personal gain, and it's reassuring to know that not all of us think in that mindset...
[deleted]

If the situation isn't good, then put the baby up for adoption. It would be better for the baby to have a chance of a good family than for there to be no chance.

Also, if the only justification for an action is because it is legal, then maybe it shouldn't be legal. If a law is unjust, it is not only a person's right to disobey it, but his duty.

Do you really think that making guns illegal would magically make criminals give up their firearms? Sure, why don't you make murder illegal too. The hard truth is that it's almost impossible to stop these kinds of tragedies.

Cruz wasn't a criminal, neither were the other shooters. Canada doesn't have too many shootings at theatres, concerts, or schools, and the last church shooting was at a mosque perpitrated by a rascist right wing nut job against muslims. I would say the hard truth is it keeps happening, but y'all are afraid to hear the truth. Or deal with it in a pragmatic sensible way.

Never would have givin them up were he not so easily able to get them. Dont forget, the orange cheetoh repealed legislation that prohibited mentally unstable people from buying guns like the ar15 that was used in both Sandy Hook, and Florida et al. Legislation Obama passed after Sandy Hook, so atleast someone tried something.
1 up, 7y
The actual truth on that is, no gun law past, present or proposed on either side would have prevented what happened. However the politicized FBI, had 2 opportunities to step in, had they not been so busy trying to find reason for a coup against the orange cheetah.

Fine. You wanna know something? There is some VERY heavy liscensing required to get an automatic weapon. How Cruz got the liscensing is beyond me but it's pretty difficult to be listened to own an automatic weapon. You seem to have this weird beleif that every assualt rifle is just laying around like candy. And how in the world would armed guards in a school make the world shitty to live in?
[deleted]
0 ups, 7y
Fitst off it was a semi auto weapon, second you do not need a permit or license to by said rifle in Florida and third there is no 3day wait to buy said rifle again, just a brief background check, walk out the same day. Also according to the NRA, the AR 15 is the most popular weapon for home defence. Ya didn't thik I was gonna let that slip by without doing my research did ya? Bittom line, I dony give a f**k who has what guns and why, I have friends who collect, and I have bin to shooting parties and got to shoot them, including the AR, Sig Sauer, SKS, and several hand and shot guns. Not really my thing, but a fun hang out day just the same. Its the ease at carelessness it is to get this shit.
And as for armed school guards? Did you grow up with an armed police presence in you school? I didn't. It used to be just a thing in inner city schools that had metal detectors and cops, gand related shit. Now you wanna arm suburbia now out of necessity. Remember that song by Boom Town Rats, I don't like mondays? It was based on a true story of a girl in the 70's who went to school and shot a couple kids and teacher simply cuz she didn't like mondays, shes in her 40's now n still in prison. But I used to listen to that song ( great f**kin song fyi) and think wow, crazy, it was such a haunting song, how could this happen. You couldn't write songs like that anymore, there would just be too many, and we are becoming so desensitized now by the frequency, that the only answers y'all have is to arm more people. We habe very strict laws here and mentally unstable people, we also don't have mass shootings as frequent.

And how did that work out for us? And about Cruz getting the guns: he already got them illegally because no one in their right mind would sell a gun to a minor if they wanted to stay in business.
[deleted]
1 up, 7y
This particular AR 15 he used was purchased legally in Florida at the tender age of 18. No red flag laws, minimal background check, no waiting period and a shit ton of ammo. Just walk into a f**kin store and walk out armed. Guns like that can also be purchased thru the internet, private sellers and that handy "gun show loophole". I'm actually surprised it dont happen more often.

2: change the legal age to a point where they are out of high school. That's all that would be needed.

Thats just a silly question. Why even bother having rules and laws? Just hand out the friggin guns at graduation and say good luck, dont kill anyone,....please.

Armed guards at a school, sounds like a nice world To live in. I bin to parts of the world with armed security forces all over, but those are third world shit sandwiches.

Firstly: excuse you for calling me 'logically impaired.

Secondly: women who had an abortion had very high rates of depression because of judgemental shitbugs like you telling them "OH MY GOD HOLY SHITU YOU KILLED A BABY, BURN IN HELL."

Thirdly: A new Utah law requires doctors to give fetuses anesthesia prior to abortions.

Fourthly: They don't 'get pulled apart with metal tools', they use a small, hand-held suction device or suction machine to gently take the pregnancy tissue out of the uterus.

Fifthly (Oh my lord, what a lot of points!): You can only have an abortion at 9 weeks pregnancy, and at that point, the baby embryo is barely even developed into a fetus. And what is the difference, you may ask? A fetus has developed enough to be a human, having all body organs made and working. An embryo is a bunch of cells. You're crying over a bunch of cells.

Sixthly: I wouldn't know how I would like to be aborted, because I'D BE ON ANESTHETICS, and I'M A F**KING EMBRYO.
0 ups, 7y,
1 reply
You are technically a bunch of cells.
0 ups, 7y
You are, technically, correct. Everything alive is made of cells. The thing is, I don't think you understand what I mean by 'a bunch of cells'. I am made of billions of cells. These cells make up tissues, then organs, then my whole body. An embryo, however, is JUST cells. Those cells did not make up any tissues, or organs, or a whole body. Do you get it?

Yeah, you damn right! Would you rather be a woman who made a bad mistake, and have to live with it for the rest of her life, having to quit education and getting a shitty job as a cashier at a shitty store and barely making enough money to support yourselves, or would you rather be a woman who made a bad mistake, has an abortion, and leans from that mistake, and everybody learns from her mistake too? I know who I'd rather be. (The woman who had an abortion, obviously.)
[deleted]

You make a mistake, you deal with the consequences. Abortion is the chicken shit way out of it. You have an abortion, you aren't learning anything from your mistakes.
2 ups, 7y
I don't degrade life! An embryo isn't life! A fetus MIGHT be, but not an embryo! In fact, having abortions preserve life! Less than 1 in every 100,000 women having abortions die, but 13 in every 100,000 women die from childbirth. So by aborting 100,000 unwanted pregnancies, you will be saving 12 women! Is that not life? Well then, I'm sorry for respecting beautiful, living, breathing, working WOMEN, instead of unwanted, undeveloped cell tissue! It is not a 'child'! Is is an embryo! Just like a raw egg is not an omelette! Listen to yourself!
3 ups, 7y,
1 reply
But you do learn from one mistake: wear a condom, or shit like this would happen. Almost all women who have an abortion never have another one again. Is that not learning from mistakes? And is abortion not a consequence of your mistakes? After all, terminating a pregnancy is not the nicest thing to do. Accidentally being pregnant is like failing a GCSE, retaking it is the abortion, and not retaking it is keeping the baby. Is retaking the test the 'chicken shit' way out of it, and if you failed such an important test, would you have to 'deal with the consequences' and go work at Burger King for the rest of your life? Can't you make things right? Is this 'make one mistake and you're done, son' approach to life really the best way to life? Can't people get a second chance? We're only human, after all.

Trying to be as respectful and nice as possible, you're smart and witty, and I f**king respect you.
[deleted]
2 ups, 7y,

I'd like to see the statistics where most women who have an abortion won't have another one.

Also, there's no reason a woman needs to work at Burger King the rest of their lives just because they have a child they didn't abort. It's about personal responsibility and hard work. If you work a dead end job the rest of your life, that's on you, not the child.
2 ups, 7y,
1 reply
Yes, well what if that woman was studying at University, and has to drop out to get a job to feed that accidental child? And what about the child? How would they feel, being the reason their mother has to go through all that? Wouldn't it be kinder for everyone to get an abortion?
[deleted]
4 ups, 7y,

No, I think I'd rather give a child a chance at life than to be ripped apart in their mother's womb and give them no chance.
2 ups, 7y,
1 reply
Didn't I JUST SAY they don't get 'ripped apart' they use a small, hand-held suction device or suction machine to gently take the pregnancy tissue out of the uterus! Oh, and you'd rather give a child a chance at life? Tell me, what makes you think that child would grow up and use their life well? What if they'll become a serial killer? Drug addict? Pedophile? And I would be more likely that in unplanned child would become those things, because the woman didn't plan them for any number of reasons- either she cannot support the child, she is an unfit mother, or she has a genetic defect that can be passed on to the child. Either way, the child of this woman wouldn't grow up happy, or even healthy. Imagine this- a drug-taking, alcoholic prostitute has sex, and the protection didn't work, for any number of reasons. So now, because of a f**king broken condom, or a faulty pill, this prostitute has to raise a poor child, and I honestly think that nothing good can come out of a drug-taking alcoholic prostitute. (I mean, unless that woman as an epiphany and wins the f**king lottery or something.) Oh, wait. Did I just hear... Adoption? Ah! Imagine, all those poor, unwanted kids being put up for adoption. There are so many of these kids! There's got to be a couple who were left behind! Then what happens? These kids float around the foster care system, never truly having a home of their own. So.e would probably kill themselves. Why do that?! They could've been aborted! Why put up with this shit, all because of a broken condom! Blasphemy! Madness!

You obviously know nothing about how they perform abortions. And it doesn't matter how they do it either. They could do it humanely and it still would be wrong. You're destroying a life that you have no business destroying.

Your idea that the child might become a serial killer or a pedophile as to why we should just abort it makes absolutely no sense. Every child has the potential to become a pedophile. Every child has the potential to become a serial killer. That's your excuse as to why we should just abort the child?

You don't have the moral authority to destroy a life that has yet to be born. Neither does anyone else. Your excuses don't make any sense. So what you're saying is that every poor child that comes from a broken home should have been aborted? Because that's what I'm getting from your argument.
2 ups, 7y,
2 replies
Why do you reduce pregnant women to incubation tanks? Why do you trample all over the pregnant woman, the one who is ALIVE, for the sake of an unwanted cluster of cells that isn't? The fetus is alive, you say? Yeah, so is the woman carrying it. That woman carrying it also has her own life, and she should have the right to do whatever she wants with her life and body. It seems to me that that if someone gets accidentally pregnant, you reduce them to less than a person, and instead just a shell, a baby machine, something to just pop that baby out no matter the circumstances of the pregnancy.

Did you just say that I know nothing about how they perform abortions? I'll have you know, I RESEARCHED how they do it, and I WILL SHOW YOU THW WEBSITES WHERE I GOT MY RESEARCH FROM.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/abortion/what-happens/

https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/abortion/in-clinic-abortion-procedures/what-happens-during-an-in-clinic-abortion

Take that!
[deleted]
0 ups, 7y
Now you're just saying things that don't make any sense. I'm not reducing women to incubators. However, for nine months, that's basically what they're doing with their child. And that child isn't simply a glob of cells.

The problem with your way of thinking is you degrade life. And you degrade life by saying the mother is more important. The child in the womb has its own DNA. It has its own life. And abortions terminate that life.
[deleted]
