Considering that many of the best corporations have 5,000+ applicants for one position.

Many companies won't even consider you unless you have some kind of college degree. Forget about your 20 years or more of on the job experience.

I'm only 21 years old, so I can say I have 20+ years experience in living!

I'd think that getting a job with submitting an online resume would be much harder since it's much easier than just with a paper copy and also it's more difficult to stand out from other applicants. Similar to how the common app made applying to colleges easier yet admissions were far more competitive.

It depends. At one time I was submitting resumes on line and had all kinds of offers from agencies and recruiters. They see certain key words and try to get you into a company just to fill a quota which is what they want getting paid for. As far as direct hires, it was harder jut to get in for an interview.
