Well, now, Hillary won the popular vote... so the real people to blame are the idiots who still think it’s a good idea to keep the electoral college in business.

First, we do not electric presidents with tgepopular vote. All of you bitter little snowflakes seem to forget that.

Second, without the Electoral College states with higher populations would call all the shots. That would be unfair to those of us who live in less densly populated areas.

Third, and finally...she lost. Get over it.

Mm. No. Actually, WITH the electoral college, states with more populations call the shots. Without it, our presidential elections would solely be based on the popular vote. The electoral college is basically a bunch of state only votes. The more people in the state, the more electoral college votes. It was originally designed to get votes in faster, before electronic polls were invented and we had no fast way of electing a president. Getting the votes would have taken ages. Now that we have the technology, the electoral college is completely useless. Popular vote dictates the president AMERICA wanted. Rare it is that one president is elected via electoral college and the other wins the popular vote.

We may not elect presidents through popular vote, but that goes to show you that more of America wanted Hillary as president than Trump.

Still...it doesn't change the fact that she is a loser. She would have been far worse than Obama.

I don’t think you understand my point. Yes, she lost. But America wanted her as president. She lost because of the pointless way we elect the president.

That being said, Hillary wasn’t the best candidate either. And Obama was actually a good president, despite what you may believe. However, the difference between Hillary and Trump is that one is a politician and knows how the government works, and the other is a celebrity. So, she may have been a worse president than Obama, but she would not have been a worse president than Trump. She wouldn’t have been getting butthurt over Twitter over every little whip stitch.

Funny...I didn't want her as president and neither did anyone that I know. The main difference between Hillary and Trump is one is a lying, sociopathic, corrupt politician. And the other is a real estate typos.

Then you must live in a red state.

Now, let’s see. Which would be worse. A lying politician that would know how to run the government... or a celebrity TV star that knows how to run a twitter account?

Last time I checked, all politicians lie. Donald Trump is going to cause WWIII just by sending butthurt Tweets to Kim Jong-un

Your girl Hillary is about to be caught up in her lies and most likely locked up. She is a horrible human being who has no regards for others. All politicians lie, but not every politician has a trail of scandals and bodies following them throughout their career

Okay, one, none of that was proven. Your “boy” Trump said he’d lock her up as soon as he was president and that still hasn’t happened. Yet another campaign promise that wasn’t fulfilled.

Secondly, I didn’t want Hillary as president either. Both of the candidates were awful options. You have to pick and choose your battles. When it’s between a demon and the Anti-Christ, the demon is always the better option.

Shall I list the lies of every politician ever? Politicians lie, Hillary is just one of the few that got caught at a bad time.

Change the rules and you may change the outcome. If we change from EC to the popular vote it changes A.) how the candidates campaign and B.) how the voters vote. Voters in deep red or deep blue states are discouraged to vote as we already know the outcome.
Going into this election neither candidate, nor the pundits on the tv, cared about the popular vote....it was all about the magic number of 270, which we heard for months and months that trump had no path to. Trump and Clinton knew the key states were FL, Ohio, Pa, Wisconsin and Michigan because they were the big swing states or light blue/red states. History and polls predicted Trump would not win them all, but the voters showed up and pushed the underdog over the edge.

If it were a popular vote, trump and Clinton would have campaigned in more areas, and more voters in other states would probably have voted. We will never know how that would have turned out.
Maybe Clinton would still have won the popular; maybe not.

And lastly, clinton won the national popular vote by 3 million because she won California by a whopping 4 million. I know Trump haters don’t like to talk about it but California has some pretty weak voter id laws, and quite a large number of illegals....

You literally pointed out the exact reason the EC needs to be gotten rid of. Americans know that their vote doesn’t mean anything if they’re voting against their own state. More people would have been encouraged to vote which would have tipped the outcome, most likely in Hillary’s favor, and not Trump’s. You’re talking about someone who won 35/50 states. That’s 35 states in which people were discouraged because they knew how their electoral college votes were going to go.

Secondly, it doesn’t exactly matter how Hillary won the popular vote. What you say may be true, but why does that change the fact that she won the popular vote? 34% of states, California included, require no action to be taken to become a voter. Trump won a lot of those states as well. Your argument is extremely invalid when it comes to illegal voters, because by your own logic, Trump got just as many in other states.

The point is, Hillary is the president America wanted. That’s what should matter.

I am assuming that most illegal voters would not vote for Trump or a republican for obvious reasons. I cannot prove this, but there is a reason why republicans fight harder for voter id laws while dems do not. I would bet clinton got the vast majority of illegal votes.

I was also suggesting that a Republican in a deep red state may not be inclined to travel to the voting booth much like a democrat in a deep red state, or vice versa. Changing the rules changes the whole dynamics of the turnout as well as the campaigning.

You may be correct, Hillary may have still won the popular vote had it been a popular vote election. But you cannot assume that. Again, everyone In the country (voters and candidates) goes into the elections knowing this is an EC election. I don’t necessarily disagree with you that it should be a popular vote, however, this is the way the constitution is setup and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
