Just a quick guess now: The second Earl of Warwick (it is an impure rhyme to "goric") - and for my mental sanity I sincerely hope it's wrong.

LOL well maybe it's the Earl. My best guess is Theodoric, a Visigoth king. But the Steve Martin character is from a Saturday Night Live skit; Theodoric of Yoric.
So maybe its kind of a "trinity": Theodoric and Warwick and Yorck combined to the holy spirit Yorik (they all probaly were a kind of Dungeon Master, too, as the Visigoths seem to confirm in The Revenant King).
