One Does Not Simply stop playing because YOU thought there was a foul on the playing field. It isn't a foul 'til the Ref says so

Once upon a time ... thank goodness today they have cameras to check in a doubtful case if the referee was sleeping or could not see the foul from his angle of view.

In soccer that I follow, or played, the single referee might consult his two linesmen but there was no appeal, no discussion, no replays. Soccer ("football") fans relish the the rapid flow of the game. A ninety (90) minute match can easily be played in less than two hours, where our football takes close to three hours to play sixty (60) minutes. Not that I don't enjoy both games.

New FIFA rules in Europe since this season - there were too many incorrect decision, and the fans got really upset. And after all - ther is a lot of money involved in European football.

Enough money to lead to profitable corruption at FIFA World level. So the game slows down but there's more time for commercials hooray! Thanks for the update.
