I was told by someone that they were memes that came from diffrent sites

I read that most of them, especially the ones on top by "anonymous" were made by people on Reddit. They share them on that site and the views count towards imgflip views. Maybe someone shared my meme over there or somewhere else and that it how it got almost 13,000 views in three weeks.
