Is that how you feel this year maybe?
Ive been over the whole material "forced" side of Christmas for years, I tend to go away camping or fishing, or just drop of the grid and spend it quietly and let everyone else get all hyped up! It is a bit different when your kids are younger.

It might be the kid. We've baked cookies, decorated, gotten a real tree, sing Christmas songs, have relatives coming, but the only thing anyone asks about is presents. Are we done shopping, and are you ready for Santa. She's 2 and I've already told her Santa is just pretend, we give gifts to those we love to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Thankfully, she just plays along with well meaning questioners, but it's frustrating for me.
