anyone can become a leader under the right circumstances, its called skill set. People with a good talking voice, information on topics, a following and loyalty that person can become a beacon of hope or reason. Not to say that divine intervention is not possible, but im just warning you that it may just be coincidence or false.

Perhaps, at least too a point; however there are major unsolved mysteries surrounding Joseph Smith that require a closer look at the history which doesn't seem easy to completely accept or reject without careful consideration. The records show an enormous number of people that allegedly witnesses strange phenomena, not just Joseph Smith, which is why they allegedly believed he was a prophet. This just seems too much to be completely faked, although there are an enormous amount of lies and exaggerations surrounding this religion and charismatic speaking is part of it but not all

This is just one of many alleged mystical stories that seem like bunk at first, but the closer you look the more it appears that part of it might be close to the truth. However, as far as I know none of these unsolved mysteries provide as conclusive evidence as the ancient megaliths moved long distances despite experiments that prove they couldn't ahve been done that way.

another unsolved mystery is the "miracle of the sun" where thousands of people gathered in spain during ww1 to witness an event that where the sun moved back and forth after being prophesied by three children and the virgin mary. all the people interviewed afterwords by local press gave different descriptions of the event and made me think

1. either it was a lie, or maybe an illusion by looking at the sun for an hour

2. everyone saw something different and thus means everyone can see miracles

3.everyone saw the same thing but interpreted it differently

Yea that looks like a UFO, and it couldn't have been entirely based on lies since there were so many witnesses and something was predicted each month from June after the fist event to October.
