Without arguing about the ins and outs of racism and it's prevalence I think you are missing the point of the meme. Balance is not necessarily in-between two points of view.

Equating blacks to gangs is like equating whites to klans members or muslims to terrorists. They are false stereotypes that do harm to perpetuate.

One problem: the klan is far right and the blacks are moderate liberals. If both sides were moderate or extreme, then we would have usual centrist positions.

That's kind of the point of this meme is that the "Right" is so far "Right" being a centrist makes you an extremist.
