Let me let you in on a little secret: while I read a lot of science fiction as a kid, I never became a geeky adult about it. I don't think I've seen a superhero movie since the first Batman series. It's just easy to make snarky memes on the subject. ;)

I'm sad. I find little need to sit in a darkened room with a hundred other people for a 2-hour shared experience in the movie theater. I wait until I can watch it at home. ;)

The last three movies I saw in the theater were the original Lord of the Rings trilogy. ;P

$3090.58 on The Whiskey Exchange. Never buy it myself, but if someone were to do so for me...

Ya no kidding! The most expensive drink I've ever had was a shot of Pappy Van Winkles 23 year family reserve which was bought for me at a going away party and it was $75 bucks. I'll be honest though it was so smooth it didn't taste like bourbon. It tasted more like a blended Canadian whiskey. I didn't complain though. Lol

I might pay $10-$12 for something good, but not much higher. Every birthday I have a friend who usually offers to buy the best scotch in the house at the best place we go to that night, but considering the types of places we go to that's usually not that expensive for him. Generally if I'm feeling my oats it's Laophraig or Lagavulin. There's a departmental Xmas dinner coming up that basically no limits; buy what you want on my work's tab. The place we're going to had a 16-year Lagavulin that I'm looking forward to ordering again this year. ;)

I think around $60 is the most I've ever spent on a bottle for myself. For special occasions - Xmas, b-days - I've bought my friend some $80-$100 tequila, but I always make sure I get plenty of that. So when you get that $3000 bottle just come on by my work place here in Portland and we'll swill it on the dock like it deserves. :D
