Simple: one DEMANDS that everyone conforms to their comfort, or else the special little snowflake will throw as big a tantrum as they do whenever one of their participation trophies for that Civil War they lost gets torn down... while the other is probably shopping locally within their community.

You've obviously never been a cashier who only speaks english. I have been yelled at and cussed at (I know those spanish words) because I don't know Spanish. I have also tried to eat at a fast food restaurant across from college campus I attended. They did not even understand the menu items in English (and the menu was printed in English). I literally had to leave without ordering because they could not understand "hamburger and soda." I had been turned down for a position at this location simply because I don't speak Spanish (note: being bilingual is a legitimate job requirement, but emphasis on the bi).
At the fast food job that I did get, workers who did not speak english worked in the kitchen (not direct customer service positions) and I actually learned a fair amount of spanish when I worked there.
Note that this meme is specifically about direct customer service positions and relates to the ability to speak English, not the primary language spoken.
