I HATE spiders...but I actually caught it in a plastic cup, and tossed it outside. Any time I walk past the thermostat in the dark, I am POSITIVE that it is there again! The BEST part? It was less than 10 feet from my pillow!

If someone tries to handle a spider, the spider will not actually bite you unless it feels threatened, or if you apply force to it.

And who's to say what makes a spider feel threatened??? Because I've been bitten by spiders that I didn't even know were there till they bit me!

Do you recall the story of what happened?

In one instance I was simply standing in my shed, looking uo at a top shelf trying to figure out how to get something, and I felt a burning feeling on my shoulder. I slapped it, and squished a spider.

Your shirt must have "threatened" it just enough for it to bit you. "Expect the least expected" is what I say.

Long story short...If that sumbitch was in my bed, and I rolled over on it...do you suppose it would feel threatened? Yeah...Me too...

It really depends on the species of spider, because not all spider fangs are sharp enough to pierce human flesh
