I've been there and there was no shortage of Japanese people. If there had been a genocide, I truly think that I wouldn't have seen very many if any.

Don't even start the old "BUT WE SHOULDN'T HAVE USED NUKES" debate.

Remember tree things if you want to go down that road:

1. They attacked us first.
2. We would have had to kill MORE civilians if we had not used nukes and had to invade.
3. If we had wanted to commit GENOCIDE (back to your original point) we could have just kept nuking them instead of accepting their surrender. This is what we wanted after the FIRST nuke, but NOOOO they had to be stubborn and make us nuke them again!

Genocide is still genocide

Since you can't give a legitimate example of genocide committed bythe U.S. Army (besides Japan, which doesn't count), then I will provide YOU with an example...

Wiping out the indigenous people in the territories that would become the United States and herding the remainder into the reservations.
