Can't sleep? SERIOUSLY, read in bed!! Preferably non-fiction, although I imagine fiction will do fine. One of the reasons we have trouble falling asleep is because we're thinking too much about various things. What reading does is help our mind to focus SOLELY on whatever it is we're reading about. Then put the book down, close your eyes and just relax. You'll be out cold in no time! If you wind up waking up in an hour or two thereafter, it is most likely due to a sound. It could be a neighbor shutting a car door or someone going to the bathroom. Some people have to use ear plugs in order to STAY asleep.
