I believe that truth necessarily exists, is true for everyone, and never changes.

But here's an Alice in Wonderland quote just for fun. :-)

Relative truths are not absolutely so effectively lies that appears to be true relative to their circumstances.

To put it simply nothing is forever true in this world. :)

Quote from Jesus Christ Superstar:
But what is truth? is truth unchanging law?
We both have truths, are mine the same as yours?

Me: In reality, there is no truth or deceit, no right or wrong, only social constructs.

So the best you can say about rape and murder is that we as a society don't like them? That they aren't inherently wrong?

almost...i say they are not inherently right or wrong...is a dog mounting another committing a sexual assault or is it just acting on it's nature without societal impediments? Is an alpha gorilla killing a beta committing murder or, again, merely acting on it's nature sans socialized constraints?

Murder only applies to rational beings. The only rational beings on this planet are humans. Therefore animals are incapable of murder.
Animals are a slave to their instinct and cannot reason or reflect on morality.

Precisely, the act itself is neither good nor bad but the thinking that makes it so. Do not lose sight of the fact that humans are animals and socially acceptable "morality" is manufactured, not inherent

You are trying to twist my words. Both the act and the thought are inherently evil. If a man tries to shoot someone and misses, then hits the person behind his target you would say that man did no wrong because he did not intend to kill that person. Animals are not subject to morality because they are not rational beings, regardless of the act.

If morality is manufactured and only a social construct as you say, then we have no right to tell other countries that what they do is immoral. After all, they made their own society with their own morals. Even if that means ignoring genocide.

If humans are just animals, don't be mad the next time someone treats you like one. They are only abiding by your view of morality. The next time someone bigger and stronger subverts you to get what they want, be sure to thank them because survival of the fittest is your creed.

Why are you getting angry? I twist nothing. The shooter is NEITHER right NOR wrong in any case. Are you unable or unwilling to understand this? You needn't suppose my statement to condone what you determine to be the more unpopular choice to soapbox on behalf of your opinion.

This debate also serves as example - your opinion is right in your mind while mine is right in mine. However, while both are right, neither is right. Conversely, neither is wrong. Therefore, neither is truth.

Humans are just self-glorified animals and morality IS MADE UP. If it weren't then even the previously mentioned dog would behave differently. You are not born moral or ethical, perhaps not even sympathetic or empathetic. You are instructed on socially acceptable conduct.

And no, "we" have no "right" to tell other countries, or our neighbors for that matter, anything. And yes, different cultures, clans, sects, tribes, families, etc., of people have differing, sometimes opposing, values and socially acceptable norms that were DEVELOPED according to their unique needs or environments. None is more right or wrong.

To some, George Washington was a patriot, to others, a traitor. Who is right? The correct answer is both AND neither. It just depends on your thinking.

Any person that is inclined and able to take what is mine is going to take it regardless of anyone else's thoughts on the matter. If your view of morality, emboldened by crafted laws, is accurate, then why need we the laws? Why would people do bad things? Because they don't think their conduct wrong, they just know it is not tolerated within the community.

Now I'm rambling. I'm not your enemy. I'm just the regular feller that gave you an answer to your query.
